mamaTENS
With the mamaTENS, you can give birth with more confidence and come away with a better feeling about one of the most special events of your life. Manage the pain in a safe way. With the mamaTENS, you are in full control.
The mamaTENS is a user-friendly, portable, digital TENS device. It delivers electrical pulses to the nerves through the skin via electrodes placed on the body. This distracts the nerves from the existing pain stimuli, reducing the number of pain signals sent to the brain. Additionally, the body can be stimulated to produce endorphins, which have a natural pain-relieving effect. The mamaTENS does not eliminate the pain entirely but helps you perceive it as less intense.
The mamaTENS is pre-programmed with three different programs, each tailored to the three stages of labor. There is also a special boost button to help you cope with intense contractions.
You can hold the mamaTENS in your hand or wear it around your neck using the included safety cord. The cord has a special breakaway clasp that will release if pulled. The back of the device features a clip, allowing you to easily attach the stimulator to your pants or skirt.
Safety is a top priority with the mamaTENS. If it is accidentally turned on and the intensity is not increased within five minutes, the device will automatically switch off.

TENS therapy has virtually no side effects. Skin irritation may occur due to an allergic reaction to the electrodes used with the appliance. Van Lent Systems has a very broad and large range of skin-friendly electrodes to combat skin irritation problems.
In some cases, the body may become accustomed to long-term daily use of nerve stimulation. This accustomization can result in lower production of endorphins.
