Apollo
Apollo small and lightweight day and night alarm
The Apollo 24 is the smallest and lightest day and night alarm! This also makes it very practical for children. The alarm options of the Apollo 24 make it very discreet in use. You can select sound, vibrate, or both.
Daytime/nighttime wetting
Your child is certainly not the only one who wets itself! Children become toilet-trained during the first years of their life. Children become aware of the urge to urinate. Children also need to learn how to retain their urine at night or wake up to go to the toilet. Wetting/bedwetting refers to the situation in which a child who is no longer an infant regularly wets itself during the day or night without there being a medical reason. Although this is a difficult problem, something can be done about it.
Training using a day and night alarm
Day and night alarms teach children to wake up from the feeling of a full bladder. The day and night alarm sounds an alarm immediately the child begins to lose the first drops of urine so that the child can stop urinating. The alarm is switched off and the child goes to the toilet.
The Apollo 24 can not only be used during the day, but also at night.
What happens next?
Over the course of time the alarm will sound less and less frequently as the child begins to wake up automatically. The day and night alarm can be set aside once the child has stayed dry for fourteen nights in a row. The child has overcome its bedwetting after a further successful fourteen nights without the day and night alarm, and the training is complete.
Are the purchase costs reimbursed?
Your healthcare insurer may reimburse all or part of the cost of a day and night alarm, depending on the type of insurance that you have taken out (whether you have supplementary insurance alongside basic healthcare insurance). You will need a written statement, with reasons, from your GP or specialist to qualify for reimbursement.
The day and night alarm
Extremely user-friendly, light and compact, with a sensor that is clipped to special underwear.
How does the day and night alarm work?
The Apollo day and night alarm is switched on before the user goes to bed. The user puts the sensor briefs on and clicks the cable into place (separate inserts can also be used instead on sensor briefs). The Apollo is positioned at a distance within the reach of the cable to the insert and/or sensor brief. The user must be woken up completely so that he/she will not turn off the alarm while half-asleep (as often happens with conventional alarms).
Motivation of the child (the user)
It is important that the child is motivated to use the day and night alarm so that it can muster the self-discipline required for success. Jointly filling in the scorecard can increase motivation.
Safety
The day and night alarm is an advanced device that uses microelectronics. The sensor detects moisture using very weak currents that are completely safe. Consequently, the day and night alarm meets all safety standards.

The day and night alarm sounds an alarm immediately after the first loss of urine. The alarm wakes the child, who then closes the bladder sphincter in a reflex. This trains the child to feel that its bladder is full even when it is asleep. Once the child has woken up it should go to the toilet. This trains the child to go to the toilet even when it is sleepy.
The Apollo day and night alarm consists of a transmitter and a cable that is clipped to the sensor underwear with a snap button and/or an insert in combination with a clip.
The transmitter is supplied with a CR2450 battery. The snap buttons of the transmitter should be clipped to the front of the sensor underwear before use. The alarm is set off immediately the sensor becomes moist.
